You will find here some good audio guided meditation practices as well as some audio interviews and discussions. There are some very useful & informative topics to listen to on mindfulness meditation that you may find inspirational and may help you to gather some invaluable info on many different subjects. It may also help you along in understanding a little bit more about putting into practice your daily mindfulness meditation. Enjoy your research and your meditation!

One of the most important gifts that mindfulness meditation offer is the power of bringing us back to the present moment, to the power of being aware of what is happening inside & around us with no judgemental commentaries. To be aware of our own experiences in the here & now. To be aware of our internal and external landscapes and to keep one in tune with the other. Mindfulness Meditation Here & Now channel brings and promotes this idea, the idea of being aware of all our experiences as they are through guided meditations, talks & reflections. You'll find many different styles of guided meditations, from traditional compassion and loving-kindness meditations to one-pointed concentration exercises all led by me, Leo Maciel.

Here are just a few links to the channel for you to listen to the meditations:

COUNTING THE BREATH II - Breathing Exercise (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mejP2fk4y4&t=12s)

"Counting the Breath II" is a short and simple mindfulness exercise but rather effective in keeping us in that place within focus on the present moment and away from mental distraction. You can try this exercise in any position and in most places, while travelling, sitting or standing on a bus, train, tube, plane, or while waiting in a queue, or before a meeting, an interview, a presentation, a public talk, while having a work break. Basically, you can do this exercise almost anywhere and anytime you feel you are ‘away with the fairies’, with your mind elsewhere rather than concentrated on what you’re doing. It’s a simple exercise to help you stay in that place within relaxed attentiveness and focus

COUNTING THE BREATH - Breathing Exercise (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCr1rkbT_5k)

A very helpful technique for keeping you even closer to that friend that is vital in life, the breath. It’s an exercise that helps to keep you in that place within the actual moment, the only place where life actually happens. As Thich Nhat Hann says, “only the actual time is life”. It’s important to keep your heart open, to practice the exercise with a sense of openness and gentleness to plant the seeds of loving & kindness in what you have set yourself to do.

OBJECTS OF MIND - Mindfulness Exercise (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJEXl_Exvaw&t=790s)

"A defused Eye at Objects of Mind" practice is an exercise of unconditional loving observation in paying attention to the dynamics of movements of objects of the mind and the possible subtle responses of our body to those repetitive mind activities. By doing this practice in a regular basis, you will become more aware of the mental patterns which may be controlling or leading your habitual behaviour and actions. By taking it in a curious but kind and compassionate way you’re gradually becoming aware, acknowledging and accepting stuff which are present and longing to be dealt with, to be released.

WATCHING BODY-MIND INTERACTIONS - Mindfulness Meditation (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkffk_wQD_w&t=433s)

A short but effective mindful meditative exercise to help you understand the relationship between mind and body interactions. As this is a visualization practise you shall close your eyes as this facilitates this kind of practice.

A Short 360˚ Body Breathing Exercise (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlSQQWSGLyI&t=478s)

Although breathing mindfulness practices are centred on one-pointed object, the breath, in this exercise we will challenge ourselves. We’ll still use our breath as our object of concentration, but we’ll use our multidimensional thinking capability to stretch the way we feel the breath and expand our sensibility and imagination using the whole dimensionality of our body in a 360˚ angle, from all sides as in a circle. This will also help us whet our curiosity about our vital, inseparable friend, our beloved breath.

Mind the Breathing Gap - A Mindfulness Breathing Exercise (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUnqYJmu4PA)

In this exercise we will investigate the breathing cycle, paying fully attention only on the pauses of its ‘work-cycle’: at the very top of the in-breath (inhalation) we have a “suspension-pause” – a tiny “linking-bridge” between the in- and out-breath – just before the body releases the air out of the body and relaxation (exhalation). Then we’ll investigate the other respite: the “linking-bridge” between the out- and in-breath. You mindfully observe and feel the movement of the breath work-cycle, the whole breathing process which includes the very short pauses in between each in-breath and out-breath. It’s to feel the movement inside the body produced by your vital, friend for life- the breath – without thinking about it but feeling the sensations of it inside the body, non-judgementally. Simple mindful, breathing practices like this will bring you inside your body, along the life happening inside it. Very helpful when you feel your mind is elsewhere rather than in the here and now.

Watching Body-Mind Interaction (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkffk_wQD_w&t=236s

A short but effective mindful meditative exercise to help you understand the relationship between mind and body interactions. As this is a visualization practise you shall close your eyes as this facilitates this kind of practice. I hope it will bring benefits to your daily practice. Enjoy the experience.

Circle of Love - A Compassion Guided Meditation (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJ3NzSJZ0VM&t=49s)

A short practice, one of the four heart qualities, for when you feel downhearted and in need of tender, love and self-care. “May you be safe. May you be healthy in body, mind, and heart. May your heart be peaceful and at ease. May you feel happiness in your mind and heart.”

Mindfulness of Breathing (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFzw98ShHLw&t=2s)

"Anāpānasati" (mindfulness of breath) is a type of meditation from the group "samatha" - a Buddhist term that refers to a state of inner peace (tranquility). It's designed with the intention for improving concentration and focus through our 'total attention' to a single point of observation: the breath. If focus, concentration and tranquility of the mind are what you are looking for, then this meditation is for you. This type of meditation will help to quickly quieten an overactive mind. When we dedicate at least 5, 10, 15 minutes daily (increasing gradually) to practice this meditation, we will notice an increase in our natural capacity to remain more concentrated, calmer, more peaceful.

Awareness of Presence (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NF25sRaNgzU&t=197s)

A basic mindfulness practice using the breath as an anchor for those moments our minds are too busy and we feel distracted and disconnected with ourselves and with the world outside. The practice leads us to a more focused, clear, and tranquil place which will enormously help in calming our mind down and make us more connected to the here and now.
