"Meditation & Relaxation Children Instructor Training".

A very comprehensive and hands-on training course with lots of reflections & creative playing for teaching meditation & relaxation to children and adolescents. A 28-hour programme divided in two blocks over two whole weekends.

For the first two days we were involved in comprehensive group discussions on the characteristics and phases of children's development from 2 to 19 years old age groups, followed by playing & techniques for helping them to relax and meditate, together with lots of fun and information to absorb.

It may sound a bit daunting at a first glance but it isn't, actually. The approach was carefully presented with the expertise and experience of Sara Morgado, who with such charisma and sound knowledge, kept unveiling each subject through group discussions and fun group games - making everyone in the course feel present, supported and relaxed - pointing out professional guidelines at the same time. I think that everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves while taking in important information and techniques for becoming future meditation & relaxation children instructors. And it was all done with group dynamics in a holistic approach, using children games, meditations techniques and reflective group discussions, providing us the opportunity to study and experience the foundation underpinnings, mindfulness practices and specific exercises that seem to be the framework of the programme.

The last two days involved some more relaxation and meditation techniques exercises and funny playing games for children. We were separated in two large groups to elaborate a 30 minutes complete session for guests children following Sara's programme and supervised by her as well. That's how we finished the programme: with a practical live session, putting what we've learnt into the here & now.

For two whole weekends we had fun, we learnt a lot, we practised, we learnt from each other, we shared, we cried (I did!), we laughed, we hugged, we smiled, we ate together, we were a group. It was such a wonderful experience really! My big "thank you" to all of you who I had the opportunity and was lucky enough to share this experience. A massive and warm "thank you" to Sara to have shared her experience, expertise and good heart to all of us. Gratitude is the word.
