Second of My Top Ten Guided Meditations in 2017.
Here's the second account of the top 10 most guided meditations I've practised in 2017:
2. Flower Garden – Loving-Kindness Meditation (Metta) by Ayya Khema, Buddha-Haus.
"we realise the more flowers we give away the more flowers grow in our garden so we can make more flowers bouquet for each of these people, the loveliest bloom we can find and we can give them this gift which comes straight from our heart showing them our care and concern and our togetherness."
"We’ll think of those people who’re nearest and dearest to us so... and for each one of them we’ll make the most beautiful bouquet of flowers nourished by our love in all different colours with lovely fragrances and give each one of them the gift which comes from our heart... and we don’t expect anything in return."
This session has been one of my favourite Loving-Kindness meditation for a long, long while. It has given me moments of true peace & kindness - not only towards myself, my heart - towards all beings, human or otherwise. It never fails to bring me "love and gratitude and devotion and see the joy" that this wonderful garden brings into my heart and how it also brings a peaceful and kind connection between myself and my dearest & nearest as well as the whole world.
"And now we anchor that flower garden in our hearts so that we have access to it at anytime and never lose it. May people everywhere become more aware of the beautiful flowers on our own hearts.”
